Activities

The Y’s Men’s Club of Angamaly Central was chartered to the International Association of Y’s Men’s Club on 9th December 2003. Ym. Dr. Seby Varghese was installed as the charter President of Y’s men’s club of Angamaly Central . Ym. Biju C.R was the Secretary and Ym. Joby Varghese was elected as the treasurer. Under the leadership of Ym. Dr. Seby Varghese many charity programmes were organized

Synopsis of major Charity programme organized during 2004-2005

	Financial Aid of Rs-5000/- was handed over to Fr Jojo of Zion Ashram for the food of the inmates of Ashram for one year.
	Wheel chairs were distributed to physically handicapped people.
	J.B School and L.P. School were adopted for one year and the students were supported by play and study materials.

During 2005-06 Ym. Laiju Augustine and Ym. PWAF Poly Kuriakose were selected as the President and Secretary respectively.

Tables and chairs were distributed to the inmates of Poikkattussery Mentally Challenged People’s centre.

	Newspapers were distributed for the poor students of St. Joseph’s school Angamaly for one year.
	Seminars were conducted on the topic of AIDS Awareness to hundreds of students at CSA Angamaly.

By 2006-2007 Ym. PWAF Poly Kuriakose and Ym. Rajesh Thomas elected to the office of President and Secretary respectively.

	A huge rally was organised incorporating various educational institutes around Angamaly area highlighting the importance of preventing AIDS.
	An awareness class on the topic of “sexual integrity in family life” was taken by Dr. Prasdd Punnuoose at Vyapara Bhavan. This class was attended by Hundreds of students from various colleges.
	An interactive session was conducted at Devikulam for the club members on the topic of “Environmental Tourism”. This event helped to grow a better fellowship among our members.
	Christmas and New year were celebrated along with the inmates of the orphanage, Amalolbhava Bhavan , Ayyampuzha

In the year 2007-08 Ym. Joby Varghese was sworn in to office as the President and Ym. Dr. Jose G. Parackal was selected as the secretary.

	A financial aid of Rs-12000/- along with Ayurvedic medicines, food and vegetables was handed over to Dhaivadhan Old Age Home Malayattoor.
	A financial aid of Rs-5000 was handed over to Jeevodhaya Old Age Home Karayamparambu.
	An amount of Rs-3.60 lakhs which was received from Toyota company, Germany was handed over to Mariya Palana Society Muringoor (center for poor orphan children)Courtesy Ym. Biju C.R. This was the best community service projects in the midwest India region of the year and the ever rolling trophy was awarded to the club in this regard.
	A financial aid of Rs-5000 and beds were distributed to the inmates of Jeevodhaya Old Age Home , Karayamparambu.

During 2008-09 Ym. Sabu Sebastian and Ym. Babu Vadakkumcheril assumed office as President and Secretary respectively.

Synopsis of major Charity programme(on going)organized during 2008-2009

	A financial aid of Rs-10000/- was handed over on 26th July '08, the day of installation, to Amala Cancer Fellow ship Angamaly who care the cancer patients on 27-th july 2008.
	A financial aid of Rs-25000/- was donated by Ym. Jose Antony on the same day to Miss Ranjita of Chalakudy for completion of her house constrution who is mentally retarded.
	50 Umbrellas were distributed among members and invited guests on 27-th july 2008.
	Members Donated Blood on 15th August 2008 in the blood donation camp held at Vyabarabhavan Angamaly.
	Provided lunch to the inmates of Immanual orphanage, Angamaly on the day of Onam.
	'Annadhanam' was sponsored at Agastya Ashram Kurrikad on 7th October 2008 by Ym. Sabu Sebastin.
	An aid of Rs-10000/- was given to Mr. Biju K. P. who was a handicap, for his operation on 27th October 2008, on the day of DG's visit.
	Supscription for one years news paper was sponsored for St. Antony's School,Mattoor
	Members participated in an AIDS awareness raly organised at Perumbavoor on World AIDS Day on 1st December '08
	A sum of rupees 2400/- was given to St. Vincent De Paul Society, Mattoor.
	A sign board was put up at Angamaly junction with Y's Men International logo as part of image building program in the month of February.
	Chartered - 'YMCA Kalady' March 2009.
	Rs.10000/- each were handed over to two kidney patients -Mr.Pappachan Mulavarikkal Mattoor and Mr.Davis Kutthiyathode for their dialysis courtesy to Ym. C.R.Biju.
